Fusō pictured sometime after her first major refit.

In 1927-28 Fusō was modernised, including the forward funnel top being modified to direct smoke away from forward mast structure, which was also extensively added to. Also one can see range finders were added onto the roofs of "B", "C", "D", and "E" turrets.
