My job is to represent Serbia and i need help with this stuff:
Im suppose to represent Serbia and need to develop arguments regarding this stuff.
QUESTIONS TO BE SETTLED:
1. SHOULD THERE BE A WORLD-WIDE SUPERVISORY BODY TO ENFORCE TERMS OF THIS TREATY AND TO SERVE AS A PERMANENT PEACE KEEPING BODY? EXPLAIN WHY OR WHY NOT. /5
2. IF SO, HOW SHOULD IT BE STRUCTURED (Detail necessary)? IF NOT, WHAT IS ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE. /10
A. Organization of nations: who makes decisions? How are they made? Structure?
1. Membership? Open to all? Defeated nations?
2. Who makes political decisions? All member nations equal? Vetos? Can defeated nations be on committees that have a veto?
3. Who makes economic decisions? All equal? Vetos? Same as the political organization?
B. Military organization to enforce decisions?
1. LON military? Alternative?
2. Where can one intervene?
3. Under what circumstances can one intervene? (
4. Who controls?
5. Who sends what?
6. Language of military decision-making?
7. Financing?
8. Equipment from where?
9. Transport to conflict areas—how/when get there? Cost?
10. When do they enter & can they be offensive or only peacekeeping?
How would a world-wide supervisory body at the end of WW1 be beneficial to Serbia (one which would enforce the treaty terms and to maintain peace at Europe)
if so, how should it be structured? (who controls what etc....)
